Thursday morning's picket attracted dozens of protesters, who circled the building where the conference was starting to meet. It was an early morning, but spirits were high and quite a few of those taking part in the exploitation of the Atlantic provinces got an ear-full from the crowd.

I was especially impressed while walking to work beside Citadel Hill this morning behind a group of protestors as they smoked dope and one young woman made the effort to spit a huge slimy loogie on some poor office worker's car. Way to go! It calls into question the intelligence of some (probably a small minority) of the protestors. Maybe I've gotten old since my prime protest days, but I tended to take it a bit more seriously and didn't partake in immature vandalism.
